Mulch: The Human

For my challenge 3 project I decided to get some old film developed that I took back in December of my best friend Logan. Logan aka "Mulch" has been my best-friend for about 14 years and because of this quarantine we've only seen each-other once (at a safe distance of course). Mulch got the unique name by just telling us one day that he wanted a nickname like the rest of us so our friend Ben looked down and said "your name is mulch now". Mulch has such a vibrant, funny, and caring personality and with these photos I wanted to show that. This project was a fun one for me because of how life is right now and struggling with it all, this brought me back to to fun times and great memories. Though I can't really show the steps in what in took to make these since they are just film photos and I just aimed and hit a button, I can walkthrough the thoughts and reasoning behind each one with you. 

For this picture above I wanted to show Logan's happy personality first hand by
giving him almost a blank canvas as a background. The only 2 things in this picture
are him and the bench. The contrast the night sky gives off is perfect to just single
him down and show his nature. 

Logan was more serious in this picture and it honestly was just because I
just jumped and took the picture without telling him and it came out perfect.
This look is a mix of shock and probably annoyance that I shot the flash
 right in his eye.

Finally this photo is just straight up fun. Logan wanted to do something
funny and with only a couple shots left of film this is what he decided to do.
