Challenge Three

For this project I chose to paint my friend Julia, who I haven't been able to see due to quarentine. This painting is based off a picture I took of her with my camera at Prairie Oaks Metro Park in Hilliard last September. I chose to use very bright colors in this piece because I feel it represents her personality the best. Julia is able to brighten up anyone's day and is always shining, which is also why I included bright sun rays illuminating on her. The symbol in the right is her zodiac sign, Scorpio, because like myself she is very spiritual and I wanted to add a touch of that. Overall I am pleased with how this piece turned out.
