Challenge Three

For this challenge I had to opportunity to work with a friend of mind who had access to silk screen printing during the quarantine. The person I wanted to give homage to was my mother. She sacrificed her passion and love for photography in order to raise me and my sister. Many of the photos used on the garment were taken by her, while the ones of Michael Jordan were images I found from a vintage photography book she owned from the 90s.

My idea is to dedicate these pants to my mother similar to how you would when a celebrity passes away. I wanted to challenge the idea of just only creating a memorial shirt when someone dies because a memorial by definition is "something to designed to preserve the memory of a person.
