A little Irish liquor makes a smile.

This was my Dog baileys and yes named after the liquor. As she was brindle pit bull and her coat just reminded me of cream swirling together. Me and my late husband dave got her from the pound as a baby. Before he passed away we had both agreed that she would go to her sister as she was alone. Plus she missed her brother very much. His sister would send me videos of her and as much as it broke my heart not to have her I knew she was with someone that needed her. Well recently Baileys passed away and I was not able to say goodbye due to everything going on. But I knew my late husbands sister was not only dealing now with loosing her brother once but now a second time in a way. So I wanted to paint this picture of Baileys so she could have it for all time. I hoped it would cheer her up as with this virus around, I just wanted to bring that beautiful bailey face to her so she can wake up to it and smile. I will say it was the hardest thing to paint as all I could feel and think of is the many times I played catch with her and how she loved her orange duck toy. But this painting is the memory of not only a great dog but also a great friend.
