"Pigs Octoberfest"- Challenge Two

Pigs Octoberfest

I chose this art piece in my house, which is actually a postcard I framed. It is done by an artist named Susan Visser, she is from the Netherlands. The original was oil and she has done some art in watercolor. I chose this as it was one of my grandfathers favorite artist as he loved pigs. He got me this as it was corky and weird. I wanted to take this art piece and make it more detailed and larger with less space between the pigs, so that is what I did. I used acrylic paint for my version instead of oil. I did think of doing it with color pencil as that is what I am comfortable with but I feel I chose the right medium.. I added more color and textures to the painting. I wanted to add more to the tree and the pigs to be more colorful and realistic.  I felt that the original artist did a very soft and light painting. Where I chose to make it brighter. I had a lot of fun with this and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
