Observing The Afternoon? Moon

The Moon is being observed by Mr. Palomar, witch I found interesting. As I was reading this passage about observing the moon in the after noon I did notice something, that very first sentence in the passage as well as the title of the Passage.

Title: Moon in the Afternoon

"Nobody looks at the moon in the Afternoon, and This is the moment when it would most require our attention, Since its existence is still in doubt."

While I can agree with Mr.Palomar that we all need to pay attention in the moment to more than just a little moment, and sometimes even be aware of our soundings, It also feels like he wants the moon to notice him. How Notice something or pay attention to something that does not come out in the middle of the day. How do you analyze every little crack and Crevice spot and color, on something so beautiful that only comes out at night, But how does that thing notice you when its not around to notice you or you have not made yourself aware to its presents.

I Commented on Paul's Passage.
"I agree with you Paul on that last part of your post. Everyone wants to be noticed by someone or something and I feel like that is the connection you made to reality and when Mr Palomar did as well.  I think a lot could be said about making people notice you, your point of use the world sticking something on top of the moons head. that says a lot on how we make other pay attention and when exactly the right time is and what it will accomplish when you get that person to notice you or what can you your self accomplish when you pay attention to the little things around you."

When M. Palomar was observing all these things about the moon he did want the moon to pay attention to him and for him to be recognized, but what did Mr Palomar do to make the moon recognize him? Nothing. He just stood there admiring the moon but again how can you admire something in the afternoon when it comes out at night.
Now I know that's not to be taken latterly, and he mentions a lot about night, but it does bring up a lot of questions in terms of this being titled moon in the afternoon.

"Now it is a lake of Shininess, Spurting rays all around, Brimming in the darkness with a Halo of cold silver, and Flooding with white light the streets of the night walkers."

So I think the less here maybe not to just observe and pay more attention but do it when it there not later on in the day night or evening, Observe at a proper time of day while you maybe looking at the over all picture and observing don't over look the small details in the moments and in situation because there might be something there that's importunate, Nothing is Trivial. In the words of misses pots from Beauty and the beast "There Maybe something there that wasn't there before." Oh Disney how you teach use so much even in our adult days.

I also Commented on Laura's Post
That's an interesting perspective Laura, I would have never thought of doubt being apart of any of that. Just Like you say "There could be multiple forms of what you see every day." There are also many forms of doubts, that is an interesting take and sometimes taking a moment and realizing that is need. so maybe Mr. Palomar is not just notice the moon and pay attention to that but also in his head realizing he is having doubts about something, someone or maybe even his self. Than again maybe not who really knows.
