Moon in the Afternoon

In the Sun's Shadow
My interpretation of this poem is that many people are over looked in there emergence to greatness, and are only acknowledged when they have fully blossomed. In the poem it states that "this is the moment when it would most require our intention". I compared that to the starving artist that everyone glosses over. It is sometime not until after an artists death that their work is made famous. The line "since its existence is still in doubt " also leads to me think about the artist who's talents and existence in the world haven't been acknowledged.

I really enjoyed your interpretation of the poem. You looked at form a perspective I never thought about. I agree that the moon can symbolize someone who shines socially or in life but needs the attention from a loved one as well.  This interpretation does parallel with mine, I immediately thought of a starving artist that hasn’t quite made it to fame yet and gets over looked. I think your interpterion is broader and can apply to many different people, which I like.

I definitely agree with your statement that you should be intentional with your focus in life. I have recently learned that positive thinking can truly change your life. Your mind is powerful and creates your reality. It’s all about perspective and finding the lessons in every trial. I having a hard time staying focused now, during a time of uncertainty and chaos. I am happy that I read this post so I can get refocused.
