Different phases of the moon

Moon in the afternoon
Mister Palomar has decided to gain an understanding of the world by observing various forms of nature. I think the “moon in the afternoon” represents the contradictions of life. Our struggles, conflicts, and contradictious represent the different phases of the moon. The moon( conscious) is what we see in an instant. The sun (sub-conscious) as our deep-rooted beliefs. The sun sheds light on the moon, providing the picture that was always there even if we could not physically see it.

Response to Samatha Young-I love the way your words flow.you're totally right that the moon will always show up no matter what, it will always be there, and let the others have their moment to shine,  people Items that are regular beauty get looked past. Taken for granted plenty of times.

Response to Nicole - I really enjoy reading this paragraph because you describe what he was trying/teaching  about doing good and focusing on the good stuff and the outcome will come out as good, I think anxiety and overthinking is included in this book as well and a lot of people will relate to that in a personal way

  1. Wow Cole I liked this interpretation. Using our daily struggles as the phases that the moon goes through throughout the month is something I did not get while reading but it makes sense. As you see the moon and the sun as one, and kind of on a team helping each other out. When I read it, I figured that the day was a metaphor for the things we hide from others or the things others hide from us. So, throughout the day we work hard, we fight our struggles in peace, and even be our true selves. But when its nighttime that’s when we show others what it is, we want them to see.
