Challenge 2

I chose a glass ashtray.

Important aspects of glass art:

• Transparency 
• Interaction with light
• Coloration or lack thereof
• Form

I chose to do a continuous ink sketch of me holding the object as a reference to molten glass constantly shifting and moving during the crafting process. By holding the object it better shows off the see-through nature of the object. Ink can have a reflective quality that plays into the idea of the object interacting with light. From there I put the image into a photo editing app to add reflections of light and give it more of a distorted quality.
